Solstice is a technology-agnostic collaboration software that allows any number of participants to share their laptop or mobile device screens to a single in-room display. The software can be purchased and run from any computer, or you can purchase and connect a Solstice Pod, Mersive's proprietary hardware.
The Solstice Pod is a natural fit for any in-room collaboration display, but works especially well with Avocor displays for their touch capabilities, adding another dimension of control to a meeting presentation. Users can interact directly with the software from an Avocor display to manage settings, presenters, and more, without the need of a mouse or keyboard. Solstice also supports 4K Ultra streaming, which looks great on our displays.
Connecting the Solstice Pod to your Avocor display
- Connect an HDMI cable to the outer port on the back of the Solstice Pod.
- Plug the other end of the HDMI cable to one of the HDMI inputs on the display.
- Connect the "A-side" of your USB A to USB B cable to the Solstice Pod.
- Plug the "B-side" of the USB A to USB B cable into one of the Touch Hub ports on the display.
Your Solstice pod should now run on your Avocor display at 4K with touch enabled. If your Solstice Pod is not running at 4K, try cycling the EDID Switch for the HDMI input it's connected to.
